Hello, all! As you may have noticed, this is our first newsletter of 2022. Moving forward, the newsletters will be quarterly rather than monthly, but if there is anything of special importance to communicate, we will absolutely update you on such matters. While we are changing the frequency of our newsletter, by no means has our work slowed down. Continuing forward in 2022, we will continue to make our best effort towards making meaningful social impacts.
In the first quarter of 2022, KS Foundation has:
Provided monthly meals and donations to Hesed House
Supported senior citizens by helping them with their errands, arranging appointments for them, and taking them to doctor’s appointments
Distributing goods from Panera Bread to Lazarus House, senior homes, and local food pantries
Arranging for groceries and other essentials for local families in need
Organizing a Mahashivratri Milk & Meals Drive, collecting 150+ gallons of milk for local distribution, and serving meals for about 100 people in India
On March 16th, KS Foundation was given the honor to be a part of the 10th Annual Congressional International Womens’ Day Celebration. Rep. Danny K. Davis, the teams at AMEC and MEATF, and many others came together at Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, to celebrate women leaders. We were amazingly granted a $5,000 check to help us continue in our community-based advocacy. We are extremely grateful for this incredible opportunity.
We have many ongoing and upcoming opportunities to stay on the lookout for. Here are some things you can get involved in:
Donate a Bhojan program to distribute food to low-income areas in India
Sponsoring a kid in Kenya to fund their education, lodging, food, and other essentials
The newly launched scholarship program Gyan Jyoti will assist high school students in India to continue their education and advance their careers.
Youth Team Spring Drive, collecting canned goods and other items to donate to local food pantries and homeless shelters
Once again, we greatly appreciate all the support that we receive from all of you, and we look forward to expanding the reach of our efforts. We thank you for your ongoing help.
