November 2020 Newsletter

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

When individuals can come together and work with one another, we can progress as a whole. For this to happen, people must maintain the basis of personal responsibility. As individuals, we must try not to form a bubble that allows us to become too comfortable and ignore us' circumstances. As individuals, we must hold ourselves to answerability and question whether our actions truly contribute to working towards a forward-moving society. As individuals, we must be more active, understanding, and compassionate. As individuals, we can hold ourselves to specific standards that allow us to progress. Then, with the insurance that each individual is appropriately holding themselves to the light of accountability, we can come together as a whole to support one another in giving our best efforts to advancing society. By being personally responsible, we can strengthen our communities and help those around us.

Thanks to the supporters of KS Foundation, we were able to come together and support our local communities in November by:

  • Holding a Youth Team Diwali Fundraiser to collect proceeds for local homeless shelters by selling diyas

  • Providing a Diwali lunch for the PADS Program of Hesed House

  • Arranging Thanksgiving meal services for Hesed House and Lazarus House

  • Distributing donations and Thanksgiving meals to senior citizens

  • Donating to Marie Wilkinson Pantry

  • Supplying nurses of AMITA Medical Center with snack and lunch packages

  • Adopted few families in need this Holiday Season by providing them with groceries and Basic Necessities items.

  • Serving meals for various homeless shelters.

Because of the fantastic individuals who support KS Foundation, we can support our local communities. We greatly appreciate our volunteers, donors, team members, and other incredible supporters. Only because of our supporters are we able to continue to help the less fortunate members of our communities. Whether it be through cooperation with KS Foundation or other organizations, we strongly encourage all of you to work to be socially active and address the various issues around us. Once again, thank you so much for assisting us, and we will continue to work towards positive change.
