July 2020 Newsletter

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

As a community, we must come together to create positive change. We must recognize that the world we live in is far from perfect, and we must work to make it better. Rather than ignoring the problems, we must recognize them and work to solve them. Significant progress is not quick and easy; it takes dedication and hard work. We must not look away from the problems; we must tackle them head-on. To continue making progress, it is important to stay motivated and focused. It is important to go outside of the comfort zone and grow as an individual. Especially in this day and age, we must educate ourselves and learn from reliable sources. By bettering ourselves, we can help to better our community. We may seem insignificant in the busy and bustling world which expands beyond our grasp, but together we can make a difference. Together we can connect and expand our grasp to create something amazing.

Thanks to the amazing people that have come together to support KS Foundation, we can continue to give back to the community. Throughout July, we were fortunate enough to be able to support our community by:

  • Holding a KS Foundation Youth Team fundraiser which collected nearly $2,500 to support Hesed House, Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, and many other people in need.

  • Providing weekly sandwiches, snacks, and drinks to the Street Outreach Program of Hesed House

  • Helping senior citizens with taking care of their needs and running errands

  • Collected & Donated 3,000+ bottles of water in one week for a KS Foundation Youth Team water drive for Hesed House.

  • Serving daily lunches for children in a family shelter.

  • Provided Dinner for about 200 people at Hesed House & thanks to Jigar’s Kitchen for providing food.

  • Jayshree and Nilam Patel of New York Life are Truly a sterling example of our community “Leading by Living it every day...!! Thank You both for your huge generous cash donation. Your donation will enable us to provide needed services to adults, youth, and children within our community and empower underprivileged and needy people. Because of you, these individuals will have access to food security and daily necessary items.

Whether it be through KS Foundation or another organization, we encourage others to volunteer. With volunteering, there come many benefits. Whether it be self-satisfaction, a desire to better the community or awards like the President’s Volunteer Service Award, there are many reasons to volunteer, so we truly hope you are driven to do so.

We greatly appreciate all of those who support the KS Foundation. Thanks to the support we receive from our many team members, volunteers, and donors, we can continue helping those in need. We hope that we can further expand our outreach, and we sincerely wish to inspire you to create positive change within your community.
