Progression forward, we must understand how preparation and planning lead to success and advancement. As was once said, "The more we sweat in peace, the less we bleed in war." By organizing and understanding the timeline in which tasks must be completed, we best set ourselves up for prosperity and growth. With so many things out of our hands, we can always ensure that we do our best to prepare appropriately.
In the third quarter of 2022, KS Foundation:
Provided weekly meals to Hesed House Family Shelter
Supported senior citizens by helping them with their errands and meals
Donated essential goods and food to Lazarus House
Sponsored kids in Kenya to support their education and upbringing
We partnered with Sewa Diwali to Collect Can food & Donate to Local Food Pantries.
Executed a charity tennis tournament to raise money for Buddy Up for Life through the Youth Team's efforts
Organized a back-to-school supply drive to donate to the Humanitarian Service Project, Hesed House family shelter, Simply Destinee Aurora, and local homeless shelters.
Fundraised through the Youth Team Diya Sale in order to provide daily lunches at Hesed House Family Shelter during the week of Diwali
Sponsored two students in India and 1 in the U.S.A through our Gyan Jyoti Scholarships Program
We would like to especially spotlight Farah Shaikh, one of the students receiving our Gyan Jyoti scholarship. Starting with her internship in a hospital during the height of the COVID pandemic, Farah was inspired to pursue a healthcare career. Incredibly persevering and academically talented, her financial situation made it difficult for her to pursue this goal. To support her, KS Foundation will sponsor her tuition in the nursing program at Stanbridge University. We want to thank Mall of India for donating $1800 and directly contributing to Farah's educational pursuits.
Recently, two of our Youth Team leaders, Kunal Kapur and Arjun Ramesh, were given the President's Volunteer Service Award for their contributions to the community through KS Foundation's efforts. Like this, there are many opportunities for younger volunteers to support us and make a difference, so please contact us if interested.
We would also like to thank Green State Credit Union, Sam's Club of Montgomery, Caterpillar, Bank of America, Mcdonald's, and BP for supporting us through the past year with grants and employee donation matching. Their impact is profound and greatly appreciated.
Once again, we greatly appreciate all the support that we receive from all of you, and we look forward to expanding the reach of our efforts. We thank you for your ongoing help.
To volunteer, please reach out to us.
